Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm looking to develop a plugin to create a new way of selecting product attributes in Woocommerce.
In this example: https://demo.getwooplugins.com/woocommerce-variation-swatches/oceanwp/product/hoodie-with-pocket/ you'll notice you have four 'swatches' to select from that are driven by Product Attributes. This works fine for four swatches, but what if you have 40 different swatches and need larger images - it takes up a lot of space.
What I am hoping is possible is that we can use a modal solution to solve this - I have created a mockup in Invision to demonstrate the solution:
https://invis.io/J5NDK3BCANU#/312913818_Sc1
Some details:
- The items showing in the lightbox are driven from a Global Product Attribute.
- This would be an option for the display of any product attribute type
- Once selected the user has the option to 'change selection' which brings the modal up again
- The selected swatch value gets passed into checkout as per normal swatches
I would like this built as a plugin that I can install on my site.
I honestly don't know what to select for budget as I've no idea what's involved - I can purchase the plugin I linked to for £40 but I would prefer this solution!
