Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
I am looking for a high-end reliable and reputable freelance resource to help me to design and develop a website for one of our clients. The creative look and feel of the website has already almost been agreed with the client. The site navigation map is also almost complete. We wish to build in WordPress ideally.
This is essentially a brochure website, and the only calls to action will be for site visitors to complete a contact form, send an email, telephone the client, sign up for a newsletter, follow them on various social media, post them a letter, find their office locations, etc.; that sort of thing.
We wish to deliver a highly professional and extremely credible/polished/wow image of the company to site visitors, so that they stand out head and shoulders above the competition. The website will have to be extremely well-built (creatively and technically) to maximise both user experience and on-site SEO benefits, and it will need to be rigorously tested to make sure it functions properly on all devices, platforms, browsers, etc.
The final part of the job will be to prepare a series of short videos explaining how the back-end works so we can hand this over to the client's internal IT manager. The handover will also be to our internal Web/SEO manager, who will be responsible for signing off the job, and for on-going support/maintenance.
Most graphics, copy, videos and images will be supplied. I would expect each page/section that you are working on to be visible online at key milestones, so that I can input into design development on an ongoing basis, to make sure that we remain on the right path from start to finish. My technical director will also be on hand to ensure that the back-end is fit for purpose.
I am looking for someone based in the UK so if you are not based in the UK, sorry, you will not be considered regardless of your credentials. If you are based in or around London, or are prepared to commute to London, that would be a big benefit - but not a total deal breaker if this was not possible. It would be useful to meet up with the client and/or with myself at least once or twice.
My gut feel is that this would suit a design and development team rather than an individual - maybe one person who focuses on the design side of things but understands the technical side of things, and another person who focuses on the technical side of things, but understand the design side of things. But, I could be wrong, so please feel free to dissuade me from this viewpoint..!
I estimate that this is about 3 weeks work. I could be wrong. ;-)
