Description
Experience Level: Expert
Following on from the failure of another developer, I need a new developer(s) to complete the following tasks. Please bid accordingly. Only submissions that refer directly to the brief will be considered.
THE BRIEF
To create an e-commerce website that allows the user to create and customise their own fixed gear bicycle from a bank of options and then purchased the bike through the site.
TASK 1: E-COMMERCE THEME
The first task is to create an e-commerce theme based on several .psd files which are ready to go and approved by the client.
Ideally I'd like to use Wordpress as the e-commerce platform as I am familiar with it and will be creating the custom homepage and implementing the content.
You will need to produce templates for the following pages:
• Paginated product listings
• Single product page
• Shopping cart page
• Checkout page
You will also need to implement whichever payment gateway plan the client decides on using.
Because of the tight deadline, proposals to use other e-commerce platforms will only be accepted if a proofing version of the e-commerce site can be seen by the 22nd November.
If you do suggest using another framework other than Wordpress, the framework must have the following features:
• Have a CMS admin system that is easy for my client to use
• The framework must open source and easily made secure
• The ec-ommerce platform must have stock control, postage options etc. (i.e. most common e-commerce functions)
• The framework must have the ability to create user accounts and also allow users to create products via the jquery tool listed below.
• Products must be able to be given a 5 star rating by registered users.
• If the query tool below allows it, the theme must be responsive.
Preference will be given to bids that intend to use Wordpress.
TASK 2: JQUERY INTERACTIVE TOOL
Essentially what is required here, is a JQuery (NOT Flash) app/tool with exactly the same functionality as this:
http://www.myownbike.de/singlespeed-und-fixie-konfigurator
The user will need the option to change both the colours and look of various components and the changes need to appear visually on screen.
Once designed the user has the option to buy the bicycle with those specs and the order is stored in the site database. Thereafter an email containing the bike specs must be sent to my client.
Ideally the tool should be made to sit within the responsive theme if possible.
A .psd file containing all the visual colour options and components is designed and ready to go. I can help export out the images from the .psd if required.
TIMESCALE
Due to being let down by an existing developer, a beta version of the site and tool needs to be ready for launch by:
30TH NOVEMBER 2013.
Ideally I'd like to have access to the e-commerce theme prior to then to implement the rest of the content and a custom homepage.
If this deadline cannot be met, please do not bid. If work is undertaken and the deadline not met, a deduction of £10 per day will be added to the final bill.
I am flexible on budget if you can prove you understand the brief correctly and can assure that the project will be delivered on time.
Happy bidding!
If you have any questions, just ask.
Adam.
