Please read this in full as I have been through this process with many many developers now and I have almost run out of time for my client.
The client is a children’s casting agency, using WooCommerce to show Children’s Profiles as a catalogue for their customers.
The client is managing the whole database of products (profiles) through Podio.
Each New/Updated product is being transferred from Podio to the Website using Zapier.
We are using Zapier’s Podio app and then a custom built app using WooCommerce’s own RestAPI to push the product data via webhooks to the website.
This is all set up and working.
The data for the child, such as Height, Chest, Waist, Shoe Size, Clothes Size are being saved as WooCommerce Attributes.
However, some of the data must be searchable between ranges, such as the child’s height. (Example - between 62cm - 85cm).
The client wants to use ‘Toolset’ to build the search filter and results loop, which only allows for range searches in Meta Data not Taxonomies (Attributes).
SO. We must have some of the data to be Meta and not Taxonomies.
We can not update the API to do this as WooCommerce’s RestAPI does not allow for Custom Meta to be transferred. There is a plugin on GitHub to do this, but some developers have tried for me and can’t get it working.
So, our only option is to have the taxonomies converted to meta data within the website.
The crucial bit is that this conversion MUST be automated. EITHER each time a Product is Added/Edited via the API, the conversion must be done. OR, this can be done on a very small time scale with a Cron Job every 3-5 minutes.
So… do you think you can do this?
This needs to be done within the next few hours.
Thank you for your understanding and time.
General information for the website: Using WooCommerce as a Catalogue for a Children's Casting Agency
Description of requirements/features: Hi, we have a client using WooCommerce RestAPI to bring in data from Podio (via Zapier).
The client needs the attribute (taxonomy) data saving as custom meta data instead.
Currently there are 400 products that need changing, and we need a script to also change this automtaically each time a new product is added via the API.
Need super fast turnaround :)
Extra notes: We have initially tried amending the custom Zapier app to bring in the data as custom meta, but WooCommerce RestAPI does not allow for custom meta and github workarounds have all failed us.

Considering the proposals received to this point, i was wondering if you have already shortlisted or identified someone to work with, or are still accepting proposals?

Thanks - I'm working with someone at the moment on this, but we are still in discussions, so whilst it looks likely to go ahead with this developer, I am still accepting proposals at this stage just in case, Thanks :)
Hello Steven ,
Now can we discuss please ?
