Overview:

The business is a service that seeks to reunite missing pets with their owners.

Pet owners subscribe to the service and are able to mark their pets as missing should this happen.

ident-a-pet.co.uk then use their expertise and the website to re-unite pet and owner.

Requirements:

Design:

The design needs to be modernised, more professional and work across multiple devices (responsive).

Additional content areas are to be added and adverts removed.

The design may be fully bespoke, or use an off the shelf theme, depending upon available budget.

Functionality:

The site needs to be controlled by a content management system (WordPress) to allow site admin to be able to manage the content easily.

In addition the site needs a subscription based membership system allowing registered pet owners to maintain their profile and profiles for each of their registered pets, such as:

* Name
* Photos
* Distinguishing marks
* Further info

Should a pet go missing the owner will be able to complete an online form where they can choose the profile for the missing pet, add a last seen location and any other information that may be useful, they should be able to login and update the missing pet report at anytime.

This will list the pet in the "Missing Pets" section of the site, which will use a google maps interface to display missing pets. This will allow visitors to the site to zoom into their local area to see all missing pet reports for the chosen area.

There would be the option to be able to filter the results, e.g. by animal type, length of time missing, TBC.

In addition the results should be available in a list format with search for visitors who prefer this over the map interface.

In addition the system should email registered members close to the location of the missing pet including all info in the missing pet report as well as posting the report to ident-a-pet.co.uk’s FaceBook and Twitter accounts.

It should also be possible to automate the contacting of rescue centres following a missing pet report, I would not recommend automating the contacting of official agencies, e.g. the police or dog warden.

Should a pet be found then the finder should be able to access the site and indicate that the pet has been found, this should generate an email to the owner and the site admin.

Should a pet be seen but not caught visitors to the site should be able to update the missing pet report to provide information. (You may not want this).

Once found the member can visit the site and mark the pet as found, they should be given an opportunity to describe their experience for the real stories/testimonials page.

Registered members should be able to manage their email preferences.

Membership payment will be by Direct Debit, it is assumed that this process will not allow payment feedback to the site automatically (happy to chat with D/D provider about this), as such the site admin will need to maintain membership payments list manually. This could be automated if an online payment provider, e.g. PayPal, is used.

The site administrator should be able to manage all aspects of the site, including the members, pet profiles and missing pets and rescue centres.

The site should produce reports for the site admin, these are to be defined but could include:

* Member list
* Missing pet list
* Dispatch list, e.g. tags or missing leaflets
* Contact list, e.g. police, dog warden

The reports should allow for filters, e.g. by animal type, date etc.
