Description
Experience Level: Expert
We require a highly experienced developer to complete the final tasks on our web application..
OUR REQUIREMENTS
-----------------------------------------------
In order that you know whether you fit the bill, we count experienced as follows...
10+ years developing on LAMP stack architecture.
All of which time was spent working in a comercial development environment producing high quality robust code, quickly. You should be in the habit of thoroughly testing your code and ensuring it does not impact on already completed functionality.
You must be comfortable with the usual requirements of OOP. (classes, objects, inheritance etc etc)
You must be highly expert with PHP,SMARTY, Javascript/Jquery and AJAX methodologies. (high expertese with SMARTY is a complete must).
You need to be completely comfortable with calling stored procedures/routines from MySQL and handling the returned data as table arrays or individual parameters.(via PHP classes)
The correct candidate needs sufficient unix/linux admin skills to change usr/group permissions, set up cron jobs, copy/backup files, install packages and a few other basics.
We also require the skills to apply CSS to render page layouts as per provided mocks.
Finally you need to have performed 'PayPal Payments Standard' integration on at least 4 prior occasions. You will be required to work closely with the DB developer who will be relying on your paypal integration experience to complete the task.
The job, which we anticipate to last for about 2 weeks will require you to be on site, meaning you must be able to easily get to Shenfield in Essex (20 mins from Liverpool Street).
90% of the code has been completed, so there are standard class templates you can reuse/copy/modify. The style sheets are comprehensive, and will allow for a great deal of reuse most of the time.
We require the implementation of the PayPal integration, plus the creation of 3 related pages.
We require PHP/HTML modifications to small areas of functionality covering no more than 10 discreet half day packages.
Finally, we require an addittional page (separate from the application side of the site) for editorial/resources to be marked up as per the mocks. (All the required media assetts are on hand)
We control and version our css/html markup through an inhouse CMS system. Versioning of PHP code is to be carried out manually, as we have no automated mechanism in place at the moment.
If you think you fit the bill, please bid including all appropriate details in support of our requirements.
Please only apply if you strongly meet all the above requirements.
