Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I have just launched a paid monthly membership website built on Ruby on Rails.
I need a trusted developer who is confident in writing Ruby to be on hand to fix issues as they arise. They need to be able to write new code in the back end and continue the front end quality and experience for the user.
If we move forward I will be able to show you the source code for the site.
I have a number of changes that need making as soon as possible.
Here is a list of all the things I would like doing. Can you please have a look and see if you are able/confident to do them and suggest a price?:
COOKIES INFO
Do we need a pop up on the home page about cookies?
DISCUSSION PAGES
Can we add a search function to help people find posts on particular topics rather than them starting a new one every time?
Move the thread with the most recent comment to the top of the list.
Update the date on the thread to show when the last comment was, not when it was originally started.
Put the name of the last person who commented on the thread in the list thread summary section next to the date of the comment and who started the thread.
Email people when their thread has received a comment...and potentially all people who have commented on that thread too.
The order of the replies on the threads doesn’t always seem to be chronological. Makes the conversation hard to follow.
Make the font a little darker so it stands out more.
Be able to add pictures and videos to the posts.
VIDEOS
Can we add a search function so they can easily find the exercise they’re looking for? This will become more important as the number of videos grows.
Can we add an “Exercise Critiques” page to the videos section.
BLOG PAGE
Add one.....
This will be for public access, anyone can read the posts, but if they want to click through them to pages within the member’s area they will have to join the site and pay for access.
HOME PAGE
For announcements and directions etc.
Have a video taking priority on the first screen. This will be a quick welcome video with directions on how to use the site.
Thanks very much.
