I need a bit of help getting data inputted, validated and stored in mysql database from within my wordpress site's pages.
here is what i want to do:
1. Basic data input, ajax validation, save to mysql database
==========================================
In a wordpress page, ask the user to input the following data on a form:
-Age in Years
-Preferred Currency (e.g. £, $ HK$, etc.)
User clicks a confirm button and fields are validated to ensure Age is a number and no sql injection stuff entered.
If invalid - highlight fields in error and ask to confirm,
If valid - store the fields away in the mysql database. This needs to be on a brand new table, let's call it. Userdetails.
As this is information that is specific to the current logged in wordpress user, then the code you write needs to pick up the current wordpress username or usernumber and store this away in the table too.
2. More complex input
================
Here the user is asked to enter details of their regular bills, and I want the system to prompt for:
-Description - e.g. "gas bill", "Phone bill", "Mortgage"
-Amount - currency
-Frequency - drop down of Weekly, Monthly, 4-weekly, quarterly, 6-monthly, Yearly).
When user again hits confirm button - validates the input and if OK, writes to database and displays in a table on the screen. Again using ajax to refresh the screen.
User can repeat the input to build up a list of all their regular bills. Once finished, click finish button.
3. Dashboard.
==========
Once user has built up their list of regular bills I want a "dashboard" screen that shows their records, and using ajax, then have ability to add records, delete records, update records and re-order (drag and drop). The re-order should change the order in the database, so next time they visit screen the order of these items is preserved.
I can code a bit in php and I'm familiar with mysql and phpmyadmin etc.
I need someone who can code this up for me. Should be fairly easy I expect for someone who is already doing this in wordpress?
I need all source code, which must be well written, fully documented.
All database calls should use the inbuilt wordpress "wpdb" class.
You'll need to define and design the mysql tables in mysql and work out the best way to key them to the wordpress username./ userid number - whichever is permanent within wordpress.
Any questions, please ask.
Please note - this is just the start of my website development, there will be more coding work - e.g. graphing and charting the data, more data capture etc. I'm looking for someone whom I can feed more work to as I develop the site. My funds are limited at present and so I need to get the first bits done, the site up and running and generating income first!
