Description
Experience Level: Expert
I had a new website made on WordPress. I needed Worldpay Payment Gateway integrated. Below is the timeline which has taken place over the last 4 months and i now need urgent and EXPERIENCED assistance.
(I initially had 2 developers, 1 for website design and 1 for payment integration)
1. My first developer designed the whole website before second developer worked on the bookings/payment page.
2. When the second developer tried to integrate the payment gateway using Woocommerce and the Worldpay plugin in Wordpress, it caused css issues across my whole website. This included text size and font distortion, image displacement and general issues with format on each page.
3. According to the second developer, these css conflict issues were arising because of poor css and outdated css methods used by the first developer. The first developer denied this.
4. The only way to stop the css issues was for first developer to remove woocommerce plugin.
5. I then had to get a new developer for payment integration. He confirmed the woocommerce/css issues are because of poor methods of css uses by first developer.
6. New developer said he would make a custom css dynamic booking form and then integrate Worldpay plugin to that
7. Everything seemed fine, he made the booking form to my specification and added the API TEST keys and we did test transactions.
8. I then gave developer the API LIVE keys (so payment services were live), but the payment integration was not working and error messages kept coming up. After we did a conference call with Worldpay technical support services, we established the new developer integrated the incorrect worldpay service. My package with Worldpay is via online.worldpay.com and the developer did the integration using guidelines from secure.worldpay.com. These are two COMPLETELY SEPERATE services from Worldpay and their integration methods are completely different.
9. The new developer has tried to correct this and integrate the correct way but is not able to do it as he made a custom form using custom css and the Worldpay plugin in Wordpress only seems to work with woocommerce booking forms. He has tried but has now admitted defeat and advised me to look elsewhere.
I now need a NEW developer again to correct all of this mess which has taken place over 4 months and had a drastic effect on my business and reputation.
It now looks like the only option is to remove the custom booking form, add woocommerce plugin, create my booking form specification on woocommerce, connect Worldpay plugin to woocommerce. But the biggest issue here is the woocommerce will cause big format issues accross my whole website. How do we work around this?
I really need urgent and experienced support, no time wasters please. If you haven't got any seller activity on PPH, I will not consider you. I have had 3 developers already i can't waste any more time. This website should not have taken over 4 months to complete. My previous website i created was on Wix and ran smoothly since 2012. The whole reason i wanted to redesign was mainly for a professional payment gateway because wix only allowed PayPal.
If you have any questions please reference the bullet points 1-10 i mentioned.
You must answer the interview questions properly to show me your understanding of my requirements and your dedication to support me. A simple 'yes' or 'no' answer will not suffice
