[ Quick note to all. I will make my final decision and accept a bid 16sept ]
Hi,
I'm looking for a web designer/developer to build me a site similar overplay.com, amasingtunes.com and some features from soundCloud.com; particular in reference to their: followers, following and group part of the site. The site is intended for unsigned musicians wishing to sell their music online. Therefore, it will need to incorporate elements of e-Commerce, a database management system and a tiny bit social networking.
The site will be heavily dependent on a database system, catering to 4 types of user (browsers, fan, artist and industry) with different sets privileges. The perfect example will be on: http://www.overplay.com
I've designed the look and feel of the site on PowerPoint (very good by the way), but having looked at other websites, I can tell that it can do with a touch of Web2.0. Nonetheless, the underlining structure is there, complete with notes and information. But I'm also looking for a web-designer/developer who can demonstrate a little bit of invention and intuitiveness. Someone who is familiar with new trends and knows the structure of these sites inside out, in terms of looking at it from both the users perspective and developers.
I couple of question for you to answer?
Quality Assurance. Do you do break testing of your own code?
How soon can you start and can give me a possible time scale to completion?
Will you be keen to help me fix bugs and some maintenance (e.g. upgrade to latest Wordpress version)?
If a fix or change takes less than the hourly rate, how do your charge?
Do you take payment on completion?
Can you provide me with a quote?
