I have an unfinished project based on Magento that needs the final touches - some design tweaks and integration of payment gateway. The project is overdue and needs to be finished quickly.
From my meeting with the client yesterday, they stated that it looks too much like their existing site and doesn\'t have any of the enhanced functionality of the site they wanted to emulate - And I agree - this is what is required:
In no particular order, as it came out in the meeting.
The Merit logo isn\'t quite right. A copy of the logo has been supplied for correction.
They would like to see a watermark in the background - like a stamp of excellence.
Try the logo in the corner mimicking the corner tab on the home page slider.
Rotating images in left sidebar are too prominent / big.
Prices shown on homepage show the sale price less prominently than the standard price. Needs to be the other way round.
Product images are too plain. Maybe try a standard background. Possibly the stamp or a graphical grass and hedge type back ground - a bit like https://www.strawberrygiant.com/images/BKG-landscape.jpg Will need some design ideas.
When drilling down to a product page e.g. There is too much white space on the right. The buy it now is not prominent enough. Needs details on stock levels and delivery estimates - must be generated through CMS.
See Tiger sheds for correct layout style for info - tabbed boxes etc. I will need your design input on this. e.g. http://www.tigersheds.com/product_detail.asp?prod=27
Similar for category pages. E.g. When drilling into a category, we have this: http://kevinheath.co.uk/sheds/potting-sheds.html. we need it more like this: http://www.tigersheds.com/product_list.asp?cat1=1&cat2=0&order=0&records=1&view=all
Navigation. The top nav bar in green needs to have the same drop down functionality as Tiger sheds so that the buyer can select size options etc.
Categories need similar navigation too.
Address lookup from postcode required in checkout.
Integration of SagePay, PayPal and Google Checkout.
Some of the variations available to purchase need quantities. An example is http://kevinheath.co.uk/summerhouses/salisbury-log-cabin.html Where you have the option for an opening window, there needs to be able to select 1 or 2. These things will be random on products so need to be able to select ion CMS.
On the product pages, it says \"quick overview\" What is that and why is it there?
Can we have an out of stock reminder?
How do we do the product reviews?
The\" Welcome to our online store\" in the homepage header is to be scrolling text and easy to manage through the CMS.
There is nowhere in the navigation to have additional pages like current site. About us, FAQs etc etc.
That appears to be it.
