Description
Experience Level: Entry
We require a webmaster/product manager to do 1 day per week to work from home every week for 6 to 12 months updating products on an ecommerce website selling computer hardware.
The work is basically moving products around in a database using an admin panel. You do not need to be a designer but you must have understanding on how a computer is built and all parts which go inside a PC.
You will also be required to follow instructions sent from my designer to create new computer systems (by selecting the parts) based on promotional designs the designer has done. You will also need to be able to send requests to the designer to design promo material based around computer specs you have created.
Training will be given and once you understand the dutues it\'s a very simple job.
Requirements
----------------------
Work 1 fixed day per week for 8 hours or 2 days at 4 hours per day.
Work from home and be available via phone/IM during the time working.
Must understand computer parts and how to assemble a PC. Such as motherboards, ram, graphics cards. Basic training can be given to up date knowledge if needed but to manage the products you must know what they do and where they fit inside a PC.
You must be able to use programs like for FTP and basic layout work using a program like dreamweaver.
You must be reliable.
Sales background would be advantage.
Duties
---------------
Products are provided by a feed from suppliers. You will be required to add the new products from the supplier to categorys on our site. This is basically moving products around using a control panel but you must have the knowledge of the parts to know which category they go in.
You will maintain 9 categorys of computer systems where the specs need maintaining. For example a specification of computer system is sold at a price of £500. The graphics card on the spec is now out of date so you would change this to a new card.
