Hello there,
i am looking for a web developer who is also a software developer for a project whereby a website would be created that resembles http://argos.co.uk but not all the extras on it. The website will be function like an online Bingo site but be catering to Raffle ticket purchases as a means of winning popular electrical and other goods.
It would be a Raffle Ticket site called http://www.rafflesworld.co.uk. Visitors would come to the site and see various items for widescreen tvs, cookers, desktops, laptops, and other goods (categoies will be supplied).
They would click on the item image and be given the opportunity to purchase a minimum of one raffle ticket for £1 and be entered into a draw to win the item. Lets say the item is a laptop and costs £200 in the shops. When the total raffle tickets for that item reaches £300 a winner will be generated by the software at random from those who bought those raffle tickets. The winner will then be shipped the item.
As an incentive to continue playing even if nothing is won by the raffle ticket holder, a minumum of £100 spent on raffle tickets will automatically qualify them for a prize item unlike the lottery where the go home with nothing even if they play a million times and buy uncounterble tickets.
Now as i said i am looking for a software developer who is also webdesigner. There will be on the home page categories such as men, women, kids, indoor, outdoor, etc. Each category icon will have a drop down menu with various examples of items with that category.
A fairly large header will need to be developed with the raffle tickets failing down from the top to bottom (animation) plus images of goods doing the same. The header will also have the logo RAFFLESWORLD embeded on it.
Also on the home page it will have various images of items which would be clickable and send the visitor to a new page where they can purchase the raffle ticket or tickets for the opportunity to win the item once the software has generated a winner at random because the maximum raffle tickets for that item have been purchased across the board..
There will also be ads around the side of the page and also a chat box, email capture form, sign in form, register here link and a forums and feedback link.
There will also be a terms and conditions link, legal stuff link and a contact us link. There will be a home link, whats new link, my account link (where they can load up there raffle tickets funds),
Once registered the customer will recieve email (aweber autoresponder) confirming this. The email will thank the customer for joining and explain different incentives and also contain links. accounts will be run under email addresses and passwords used to register.
In the Register link drop down menu the opt in boxes will contain first name, surname, email address, confirm email address, password, confirm password, security question, security answer, contact phone number, postcode, country, a cancel button, a register button and the option to recieve newsletter.
As regards the software:
It must generate winning tickets for each item on a loop cycle so that everytime it reaches its maximum it starts again. For example on an item that costs £100 it will show price £100. There will also be an icon that shows raffle ticket 0-150.
When visitor decides to purchase the raffle ticket or tickets they will click a button and will be taken to a secure page where they can pay via paypal or credit or debit card.
Also on the site there will be links for twitter, facebook, linked in and social bookmarking sites.
Now this is just a rough description of what needed to be done. I need someone who can speak and write very good english as this site is for the english speaking audience. I need some who has skype so that i can speak with them in real time. someone who know about software development and all its error and update issues so that we can be in constant contact and also for future projects as they arrive.
I have a budget for this small project and would like to see samples of past work for consideration. If work is good and project is executed satisfactorily further projects will be offered as and when needed.
