Description
Experience Level: Expert
Looking for a developer to build (or commerce template) an eye-catching shop with a few important features that the cookie-cutter shopifys etc don't cater for.
The high level concept is for a subscription service that allows customer to schedule gifts for people in advance that are delivered and charged for at a later date. Customer then doesn't have shop around or remember to send gifts.
I need functionality that allows a user to choose gifts from our product selection then:
- Assign those gifts to new/ existing recipients
- Select a date in the future (1 year ahead/ or more/ or recurring) for those gifts to arrive by
- Only be charged say 1 week ahead of dispatch to registered card
- And be charged a recurring monthly subscription price determined by the number of gifts they have scheduled to their account/ they subscribe to a package which gives them X gifts per year.
In my mind this is just a few more steps than the online commerce templates offer, in that I need to add "people" perhaps to the users contact list, and have the facility to schedule fulfilment/ dispatch in the future.
The front end needs to be clean and beautiful (like a shopify site, nothing difficult, it could even piggy back off squarespace, wp, shopify if quicker/ easier/ cheaper). Mobile friendly is essential. And I will need to have control of CMS to build out/ change the other areas of the site myself. Therefore piggybacking with some custom code might work best?
The end result certainly wouldn't be a full build out, but would test a single product offering, and MVP/ features. There are other features we'd like to add, as well as products after initial testing.
Fulfilment would be manual initially but the next phase would be to develop a more automated fulfilment communication system.
I am happy to provide further information to anyone interested in putting themselves forward ,and can walk you through the two routes I think a user might take.
The ideal collaborator on this will be concise, clear and friendly. And patient. I am technically minded, astute in business, but I am obviously product focussed.
Please contact with any further questions, with a view to arriving at a scope of work, a schedule and a quote.
