Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
General information for the website: Niche recruitment database/site to be updated by employees via mobile and PC and searchable by recruitment agencies by PC
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Num. of web pages/modules: 5-15
Description of requirements/features: Two types of users - recruitment agencies and job seekers in a very specific niche market.
Job seekers will set up a profile of no more than 20 data fields (mainly chosen from drop down list - not free text) with the option to upload a Word CV and/or include a link to their LinkedIn profile. Initial profile set up can be via a PC or a mobile app. Once set up the job seeks will be prompted to update their profile status (5 or so fields) evert month via the mobile app. Data freshness is key to the business model.
Recruitment agencies will access the website to carry out a search of the profile database. The results will be in the form of the uploaded CV and/or a simple click through to the LinkedIn profile of the potential matching candidate.
Registration and access for job seekers will be free. Agencies will pay for a period of time (months/quarters/annual).
There will need to be a small number of user administration screens to allow me to set agencies up with a three part password (agency name/user name/password) and record a validity date for their access based on their payment.
I would like to concentrate on developing a minimum viable product, sign up 5-10 pilot agencies and 200-500 users, then invest in subsequent development phases.
Extra notes: I work as a contract Programme Manager (9 nine years now) delivering large IT developments. I have NO developer skills myself, but I have worked as a BA and am realistic that I can't just give you a few ideas and expect you to build a new Facebook! If you get what I'm trying to build and are happy to work collaboratively and provide decent estimates for agreed work packages, then that would be great.
I do NOT think this is going to make me a millionaire. It is a hobby business that I'd like to try and I'm happy to put some hard cash into it. If it goes brilliantly it might make 50K to 100K per year and not require much to run it.
