General information for the website: Tutoring site for exam preparation
Database management system (DBMS): MySQL
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of requirements/features: I have an Access database that I want converted to a website with a MySql database. My database contains 14 tables with a combined total of 120 fields, 22 append queries, 3 delete queries, 34 select queries, 9 forms and 11 macros. The website will have one page for each of the 9 database forms and the active controls on them must work exactly as they do in the database. I will provide a copy of the database to the programmer prior to awarding job.
The following changes or additions that are not part of the Access database must be made for the website:
1. Change answer check boxes on the Teacher form to radio buttons such that position of buttons is determined by length of each answer.
2. Make sound recordings play when the MathExplanations form and the Explain Verbal form is opened and updated. Some of the sound recordings are .wma files and others are .m4a files. The files are named after field names in the respective forms so that they can be referenced programmatically.
3. Students will use the website both individually by themselves and in joint sessions with me. When I log a student into a joint session, automatically check the “With Tutor” box in the Time Log table when the login/logout times are recorded as in the Access database. Also, when in a joint session, the sound recordings should not play since I will be on a telephone call with the student during that time. Finally, when in joint session, the site should be controlled by the tutor, not by the student.
4. In accordance with examples I will provide, download questions, answer choices, correct answers, graphics and reading passages for the upper half (approximately 450 questions in total) of each section in http://gmatclub.com/forum/the-official-guide-quantitative-question-directory-143450.html and http://gmatclub.com/forum/official-guide-verbal-question-directory-og-13-and-og-161949.html#p1121171.
