Updates are required to our web platform and mobile apps created last year to track samples in the field and laboratory.

Can’t paste into the phone number field on the order form - you have to type it in, which is annoying!
All tables should re ordered so they show the newest entry at the top. Kits should also be listed from highest number to lowest
Don’t need phone number for user
We would like to be able to search kits without having to write ‘GCN17-‘ prefix every time - e.g. searching kits for ‘0925’ should bring up all kit IDs that contain 0925 rather than requiring a complete match

Submission of a sample required an internet connection. If there was no connection, the user wasn’t able to log the next sample. This was the main reason for non-use of the app
The map doesn’t load if there’s no internet connection. I think we should remove the location field
When you submit a kit, it currently stays on the same screen so you have to manually go back to the project and open a new sample - otherwise it is very easy to accidentally try to update the previous sample instead of adding a new one. It would be good if when you select a task you are shown a list of kits already submitted in that task, and when you submit a new kit in the task you are automatically returned to that screen showing the list of successfully submitted samples so it is clear you sample has submitted successfully.

Get rid of complete and ready for pick-up status as these are not used
Add the ability to specify multiple pick-up dates for a single order
User didn’t get confirmation emails so she never knew what the order reference was (we discovered this after the season and it explained a lot about why we had trouble communicating about some orders!). It would be good to add a column for internal reference on client orders table that is filled in when the order is confirmed (the time at which an internal reference is created by us)
They would like to be able to see on the orders table when results have been returned for a particular sample. Either we could add a new status against the order that we can update when we send the results - or perhaps it would be possible to upload results files into the database against each order?
