Description
Experience Level: Expert
I run a website at www.schoolswaps.net whose aim is connecting teachers for postcard swaps. Every few months I run big swaps, where teachers sign up their classes to swap postcards amongst each other.
To do this, they go on the site and enter their details into an embedded google spreadsheet, giving their name, class size, address and email address.
At the end of the process, I then take the spreadsheet and assign the classes partners and email the teachers with the details of their partners.
What I want is a programmer who can automate this process as each swap gets 40 or more classes, each of a different size, so assigning partners alone takes over a day, then emailing all the details also takes a day and is prone to mistakes as I run the whole thing manually at the moment.
The site is currently run in Wordpress, and I have a ning network in the background. Ideally I would like to make this so that only signed up Members of the site i.e. members of schoolswaps.net can enter, so ideally I need someone who can program this to work entirely in Wordpress.
In the first instance I want this to run so that I can make swaps easily, but in the longer term the code needs to be written to allow users of the site to initiate their own swaps, so if you bid at the higher end of the price range be sure to include your plans on how users can make the swaps themselves.
If this can't be done in Wordpress and requires a bespoke design, please outline how this will be achieved. The design needs to be simple enough for me to use easily and update on my own afterwards.
All instructions added in the attached spreadsheet.
For the right programmer this could be an ongoing assignment
