Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
General information for the website: unique campaign for historic Boeing 707 aircraft; see www.n88zl.com
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of every page/module: Ultimately, the measure of success here will be our ability to raise on-going funds for the operation and on-going maintenance of the 707; the architecture of the website and the overall campaign is what we need to figure out.
Description of requirements/features: We have to reach a very broad base of aviation enthusiasts who might consider contributing to this proposed one-of-a-kind
prospective aviation spectacle.
So, for instance, we would want to establish ad links with the following websites and a compelling landing page with
the paypal (and other) means to contribute
1- Steve Udvar Hazy; he is the largest donor for the National Air and Space Museum
2- National Air and Space Museum donors
https://airandspace.si.edu/about/history/udvar-hazy-center.cfm
https://airandspace.si.edu/about/contact.cfm
3- AOPA
http://www.aopa.org/
4- EAA
http://www.eaa.org/eaa
5- COPA
http://www.copanational.org/
6- Museum of Flight
museumofflight.org
7- National Museum USAF
http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/
https://www.museumofflight.org/727-final-flight
and all of these:
http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/07/travel/best-aviation-museums/
8- nbaa.org
8a- airliners.net
9- all of these schools:
http://www.alexa.com/topsites/category/Top/Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Aviation/Education_and_Training
10- great circle mapper/flightaware/flightboard/flightradar24/
http://waynefarleyaviation.com/2010/04/10-great-aviation-websites/
Extra services needed: Domain, Installation, Customization, Optimization
Similar urls: http://www.saveconcordegroup.co.uk/ http://save-concorde.com/
Extra notes: Greetings and Salutations. My name is David Bernstein; I am the owner of the only remaining U.S. registered 707 passenger aircraft, N88ZL.
I started SaveThe707 to raise the funds necessary to refurbish this aircraft, to place it back into service during the next 12 months,in order to accomplish 2 principal on-going missions with this aircraft as follow:
1- To perform flight demonstrations at Air Shows around the world in which we will reenact the
now infamous Tex Johnson 707 barrel roll.

The attached animation file shows the type of routine we hope to bring to Airshows around the world with N88ZL.
(unable to attach as it exceeds 5MB but it shows the contemplated aerobatic routine for the 707)
2- To fly around the world and provide educational static displays and flight demonstrations for science museums and schools around the world

see: http://www.justabunchofroadies.org/our_work_and_impact/haiti/
N88ZL has quite a history, first delivered to Lufthansa Airlines in 1966, registered D-ABUF; it subsequently was converted to VIP use by Sultan of Oman who changed the registration to N88ZL; we began operating this aircraft in circa 2003 under FAA Part 125. It has flown to approximately 100 countries since 2003; for more technical specifications and photos see:
www.n88zl.com
Among others, N88ZL has flown The Eagles Music Group, several heads of state, including former US President Bill Clinton, and Hugh Hefner (see video below)

The first 707 aircraft that I managed was actually a Boeing 720A model, former United Airlines aircraft N7224U, also known as Caesar's Chariot; among others N7224U flew the Bee Gees, Fleetwood Mac, and The Eagles.

Trust me when I tell you that Save The 707 will be a non profit; the on-going costs to maintain and operate a 707 will almost certainly exceed the funds that we raise, but every penny helps.
Thanks for helping me bring the "old girl" back to life and to show the world how majestic and
magic the Original Jetliners were.
