Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi everyone.
My client would like their existing website built as a content management system so they can update it themselves.
The website is www.showcase1990.co.uk.
Basically I need a straightforward CMS building which will allow simple text amendments on the About, Portfolio home page and Contact us pages and image upload capabilities for the portfolio pages.
If you look at the portfolio pages, you will see they are comprised of thumbnail images which when clicked use javascript to open up a larger more detailed picture. The CMS if possible will need to allow Showcase to upload these images at these sizes:
Thumbnail: 55 x 55px
Featured image (landscape): 700px width
Featured image (portrait): 600px height
The featured images I size in photoshop so the height is determinded by the width on the landscape images and the width is determined by the height for the portrait ones.
I assume that my client will be able to size the images by putting in a height or a width attribute only and whatever the software the website is built in will do the rest depending on orientation.
Hope this makes sense. Any questions just ask.
I should mention that the site has two urls:
www.showcase1990.co.uk
http://www.showcase-ltd.eclipse.co.uk
so the site will need to be visible over both of these.
They also need to be able to add pages as and when necessary as well as update the text in the other pages (except the homepage).
Unfortunately there is a tight timescale and the work would need to be completed by the middle of July.
