I'd like you to do this video for me, in front of a green screen if possible.
Hi, I’m here to tell you about the communityUK experience and why we say it’s the best way for developers and local authorities to engage with residents and communities.
communityUK is about making it really easy to take part. That’s why it’s a one-click system to take part, and only takes twenty seconds to register.
It’s best to register, as you get a better experience, and it will be easier to ask questions. You’ll also be reminded by email before each event, how to share your view, and when recordings are available.
Before each event, you’ll see a countdown clock and hear music, and this helps you know you’re in the right place and your web settings are correct. If you have any problems getting online or with anything call our helpline number.
All you’ll need to do is to go to the website – we don’t use zoom as we know some people find it a struggle to deal with.
When the event starts, you can watch the panel members introduce themselves and give a short presentation. Then it is over to you to ask questions.
You can ask questions in three ways. You can put your questions in the box below the video - if you find that difficult, you can always phone our helpline. We also encourage residents to make twenty second question videos – go to the link in the registration email or on our homepage to make a video question.
We try to answer as many questions as possible during the events, and read most out in full. However, if we receive lots of questions about the same topic, we might group them.
Hopefully you’ll see your question on screen as well. We use lots of graphics to show the name of the panel members and what questions we’re answering.
You can take part on any internet connected device, from your laptop to mobile and most TVs. Try out the second device link if that helps to submit a question.
We love the experience of communityUK, and we hope you do too. It makes it easier for most people to attend, including those with children, those of working age and younger people. We always make sure that no one is excluded, so if you know anyone who finds it difficult to take part, make sure they give us a call. Or they can use our freepost address.
CommunityUK is all about being accountable and transparent. Everyone who takes part can hear all the questions asked. A great feature is that the events are recorded and put on the website – with all the questions timestamped so you can find what you’re looking for really easily.
If you like the communityUK experience, why not take time to complete our survey in the link below this video. We’d love to hear from you.
From all of us at communityUK, thanks for watching, and we hope you take part.
