Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Hello,
I am looking for a professional video editor. I run my own automotive videography business for used-car/supercar dealers across the UK. I have too many jobs on the go at the minute and I'm finding it difficult to manage all the editing myself. Thus I am looking to hire a regular video editor.
What the job consists of:
- You & I will share a DropBox/Google Drive folder.
- In this folder, I will be uploading the footage files for each vehicle I film.
- You will need to download the files (requires good internet speeds) and then using your editing suite, produce for me a final vehicle advert of the car.
- Once produced, you upload the final video file as an MP4. file for me to upload to the client's platform.
The videos should be between one / two minutes and will include audio and logo animation clips (*some videos will include captions*)
I will provide you with the audio tracks and any other necessary clips (logo animations/social media banners).
The videos need to smooth and in sync with the soundtrack.
To give you a rough estimate, it usually takes me around 30mins to edit a used-car vehicle and around an hour to edit a high-class vehicle.
Here are some example videos for you to have a look at, the videos will need to follow this editing style:
- Ferrari 458: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fF25DTrKBEY
- Lamborghini Huracan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR9sfO6M7kg&t=1s
- Merc-Benz S63 Brabus: https://vimeo.com/246182092
These are some examples of the high-calibre cars which obviously need to be done to a very high standard. There will be videos done for less premium cars which still need to be to a good standard.
Work Load:
10 videos upload each time with a 48-hour turnover before the videos are delivered back to me.
Around 20/30 videos per week on a regular basis. (More if you can accommodate the extra work.)
I would like to know your cost per video edit.
I am not willing to spend over £5 per video as this is a long-term job. Payment will be made immediately after I am happy with the work you have sent me.
Hope I have covered everything, might have missed the odd detail but that is a general summary of the job on offer.
Looking forward to working with you soon!

So, if an edit takes an hour you want someone to work for less than minimum wage?
