Description
Experience Level: Expert
The Charity
Since 1984 Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP), a small London based charity has been supporting local young adults with learning disabilities and autism to develop the skills and confidence they need to be more independent and achieve their potential. Each year PIP’s skilled and committed staff and volunteer team engage 60 adults with disabilities in a broad range of education, personal development, social and health activities as well as creative art and drama projects, travel training, recreational trips and holidays. Activities are tailored to groups of adults with variable abilities and include sessions on literacy, numeracy, healthy living, cooking, art, drama, music and work skills.
The Job
On 25 March PIP delivers its annual original theatre production. This year’s production, All Work And No Play, takes place at the Tabernacle Theatre in Notting Hill. See poster attached. This is our charity’s biggest annual showcase, and the event offers us the opportunity to share the fantastic work we do with the public.
We are searching for an experienced and creative filmmaker to produce a short video about this event. The video needs to capture the essence of this one-off, interactive and unique event. We expect the video to be short, sharp and punchy. It should clearly tell the story of the show itself, highlight our disabled cast members’ incredible creativity, and how they feel about expressing themselves through drama, and being part of PIP. Interviews with relevant participants, audience members, etc.
Timing is 10-4 PM. Please find relevant links about our work and previous theatre events below:
