Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Our company is specialized in selling and installing wallpaper. Many clients want to see an impression of how a certain wallpaper would look on their walls. For example, behind their bed (see attachment).
We offer them to make an artist impression so they can see if they like the look before they buy the wallpaper.
We're looking for an ongoing relationship with a Photoshop expert abroad to do those jobs for us.
We would send you:
- a photo of a room with a plain wall (the 'before-photo')
- an image of the wallpaper. Usually this is already processed so it can be 'tiled' seamlessly using the "Pattern"-function in Photoshop. But sometimes it needs work if the lighting is not correct or the 'seams' do not match perfectly. Then it needs retouching first before it can be tiled seamlessly.
- instructions on what wall the virtual wallpaper(s) should be applied
Then you do the job in Photoshop and send us the .PSD with with all layers intact. So we can always make some extra adjustments if needed.
You should take into account:
- the lighting/coloring on the wall should match the rest of the room
- if there is furniture in front of the wall, the shadows should match on the wall
- the edges around (for example) plants, lamps, funiture should be realisticly masked
The be short: you shouldn't be able to tell if the wallpaper was really there or not. We need high quality.
Our own designers usually spend between 10 and 30 minutes per impression. Depending on how much masking is needed and how many different wallpaper-variants the client wants to see.
We want to discuss an hourly rate.
With every photo we send you, we set a maximum time the can be spend on it. The job needs to be done in that amount of time. If you think it can't be done, you can always refuse that particular photo.
For example:
Photo 1.jpg + Wallpaper1.jpg = 15 minutes
Photo 2.jpg + Wallpaper2a.jpg + Wallpaper2b.jpg = 30 minutes
Photo 3.jpg + Wallpaper3.jpg = 10 minutes
Photo 4.jpg + Wallpaper4a.jpg + Wallpaper4b.jpg + Wallpaper4c.jpg + Wallpaper4d.jpg = 40 minutes
..etcetera..
Please send us some work you have do that proves you have the skills to do this kind of work. We would need the see the PSD-files to check what techniques you've used to get the end results.
