Description
Experience Level: Entry
The job is to translate a recently rediscovered, exciting HORROR NOVEL, a variant of Bram Stoker's famous DRACULA, published in SWEDEN in 1899/1900, to ENGLISH, in separate sections of 10,000 words each.
From my experience, any native Swedish speaker with good knowledge of English and good education can do this-- not only professional translators, but also engineers, pharmacists, travel agents, sea captains, pilots, bookkeepers with good Swedish and English skills.
I UPDATED THE PRICE TO 120 EUROS NOW ( = per section of 10 k words) so that you can sub´mit proposals for 120 Euros!
The novel has 120,000 words, that will be set split in 12 sections of around 10,000 words each.
Each translator can bid for ONE section. Only when you are done with your section, you can bid for one of the remaning sections. I hope this procedure will lead to maximum parallel processing efficiency :-)
The text is not too difficult; even I can translate it with the help of Google Translator and an online dictionary, although I do not speak Swedish. All translators will be receive a WORD text file of around 10,000 words. If you put it in the Google translator, you are halfway done. Then you would need to clean up the results produced by Google, so that you can return a text with complete, meaningful sentences in correct English.
Honorary fee: 120 Euros per section of 10,000 words. Total budget: 1,440 Euros.
This is a low-budget project, but the text is interesting. The text of this Swedish variant of Dracula has only recently been rediscovered.
Turnaround time: 2 weeks from today (22 March 2017) for the whole project.
PLEASE, PLACE YOUR BIDS FOR ONE SECTION OF 10,000 WORDS = 120 EUROS.
Thank you!

Hello,
I'm interested in the job, but the system is refusing to allow me to put in 120 EUR for 10,000 words due to the high fixed price. Would you be able to post a new job that has a fixed price at 120 euros instead of 1400?Hans D.22 Mar 2017Yes, I did and now it should work fine!!
