example tutorial of elements to translate
To translate the site example:
Lines with /* are comments and don't need to be translated
Only the right side of the " => " needs to be translated, DO NOT change what's on the left side of it. For example, in 'action_restore' => 'Restore', only the word Restore needs to be translated. Do not change the action_restore, the arrow or the comma.
Words with : before them are placeholders for dynamic variables. You can put them anywhere on the phrase, but you must NOT change the word nor delete the ":". For example, in 'every_n_hour' => 'Run every :num hour' the :num will be replaced with the amount of hours, and thus should not be changed
If you see a | separating two phrases, the first is for singular and the second for plural. Both need to be translated, separating them with the original | character. For example: 'tasks_using' => 'There is :count task using this schedule.|There are :count tasks using this schedule.',. The first phrase is when :count is 1, and the other when :count is > 1.
If, for any reason, the ' character is part of the translation, it must be preceded by a backwards slash ( \ character). For example: "Let\'s go"
After everything is translated, all files need to be saved in a folder with the language code (for example ES for Spanish) in this directory https://github.com/binlogicinc/blcb-panel/tree/develop/resources/lang/
Finally, the locale needs to be added to the the site config at https://github.com/binlogicinc/blcb-panel/blob/develop/config/app.php as one of the locales, for example:
'locales' => [
'en' => 'English',
'es' => 'Español',
'it' => 'Italiano',
],
To translate the tutorial:
Locate the tutorial js file in https://github.com/binlogicinc/blcb-panel/blob/develop/public/js/tutorial_en.js and copy it, and rename it to the locale you are about to translate, for example tutorial_ko.js
This is a javascript file, so like with the other files, please be careful about the structure of the file (not deleting commas or quotes, etc).
Translate the contents. Here is an excerpt to exemplify the file format:
var tour = {
id: "intro-tour",
skipIfNoElement: "false",
steps: [
{
//0
title: "Before we begin",
content: "Before setting up a backup, we need to configure a couple of things",
target: "#tour_start",
placement: "right",
yOffset: -10,
xOffset: 10,
},
{
//1
content: "Let's start by defining our storage",
target: "#storages_link",
placement: "right",
multipage: true,
nextOnTargetClick: true,
showNextButton: false,
yOffset: -10,
},
...
In this case you should translate what's inside the "content" and "title" sections (if present). For this particular example, it would be "Before we begin", "Before setting up a backup, we need to configure a couple of things" and "Let's start by defining our storage".
This is for an animated tutorial that displays on top of our page, guiding the user along the way. Because of that, please try to keep the wording consistent between what you already translated (which is basically for the website itself) and this guided tour.
To translate the emails example explanation:
Translate all the lines in repo
The general structure of the file should be preserved, translating only the required part. Each translation has the following format:
"theTranslationName": {
"other": "The Phrase that needs to be translated"
},
Just translate the phrase, without modifying anything else. For example:
"backupSize": {
"other": "Backup Size"
},
Variable placeholders have the form {{.VariableName}}, and thus dont need to be translated. For example, in "Hi {{ .UserName }}" the {{.UserName}} should not be modified. The is just html, that needs to be preserved as well.
If, for any reason, the character " is part of the translation, it must be preceded by a backwards slash ( \ character)
After all translations are done, a file with the language code must be placed in the lang directory. For example, it.all.json for italian.

Hello,
How many words do you have? Then I can send a proper proposal.
Best,
Islene -
Do you have a word count of the pages you want translated or the pages itself so I can provide a more precising deadline and budget estimate?
