Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Worpdress running slowly
Description of requirements/features: I have a Wordpress site which is running on a VPS with 2 cores, 2GB RAM and SSD disk - on average it gets around 20k page views per month and over the last few days it is crawling which is very odd as it has been even quieter over the last week due to the holidays.
MySQL is on a different server so this is literally just serving pages. The free memory is all too often going to down to 50MB or less - I restart httpd and it is OK for an hour then it dies again.
We have had issues with xmlrpc attacks in Wordpress which hit us hard and I have tried tweaking settings in httpd.conf but it doesn't seem to be making a major difference. I can add more RAM to the server but with only 13k sessions a month I don't think I should need to hence why I feel something is up.
I simply need someone to sort out Apache and PHP so it runs as it should.
