Simple static website

Description of every page/module: We need a simple, but compelling, web landing page for visitors who will arrive as a result of reading an advertisement. THe site needs to briefly explain who we are, then offer two pay-offs. The first is a free e-newsletter and supporting free information. The second is an invitation to paid for seminars.
The main aim is to capture email addresses and other details, so the site needs to encourage people to register. Pop ups, offers etc would be useful. The overall site will be relatively simple, with few pages, and does not - at this stage- require e-commerce, but some form of booking system to encourage registration on seminars would be useful. eg: Register here for the Birmingham seminar on 1st June and we will email full details
Description of requirements/features: I already have the domain registered and hosting is organised. I'm looking for a competent, creative solution for a B2C site
