I need to recover txt files on my linux desktop which was accidentally damaged by some grub or partition error. Afterwards I want to reinstall linux and do some configuration and programs install.

    Sorry to hear you've had problems with your files. Have you already tried any recovery tools? How could I access the drive to work? Can you have it connected to a box I can ssh to?

    Is this a remote job?
