Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: We sell portable storage/shipping containers
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of requirements/features: Website http://www.azteccontainer.com/contact.html has had a form in place for years but suddenly stopped working. Hosted by Godaddy, their tech help suggested it was an old server and recommended I upgrade to a new server. I have a new server set up with Linux Cpanel access. I uploaded the website to the temporary domain http://temp.azteccontainer.com so that we can test and fix the form that resides here: http://temp.azteccontainer.com/contact.html
All the code on the web page is sound as nothing has been changed since April 2015. If the old server is to blame, I think the problem could be a bad action script that needs updating. Now that I have a new server with Linux Cpanel, I also think the "cgi-bin" folder needs connecting to the form page?
On the live website (http://www.azteccontainer.com/contact.html), if you fill out the form you'll notice it functions properly, sending the visitor to the confirmation "Thank You" page. The problem is, the client is not receiving an email for the information captured in the form. The email does not show up anymore so the lead is lost.
I need help connecting the new hosting to the form page and I need to make sure the assigned email recipient receives the information when the form is filled out.
Extra notes:
