I am looking for someone to review my R Studio script/work for ML to ensure that what I have done so far is correct. This is the first time I have used R (I am a neuroscientist by training) so I was learning as I was working on my analysis. I had worked in this in April 2020 but had to stop to turn to other projects for work so I have forgotten much of what I have done. Attached is a description of what I was trying to do. You will see that I tried out several ML algorithms (this was based on my search for multivariate supervised ML algorithms) but I am not sure if what I did makes any sense. Additionally, I had only gotten through the training of the algorithms, I have not tested them (I have a prepared test data set that I can share with you). Since there is a limit of 3 attachments, I could not attach all of the relevant files here but can send them to you separately.
One thing that you will see is that I marked the statements as verbal or written - I don't know if this makes a difference so perhaps the ML algorithms need to be run excluding the verbal/written classification?
It might be easiest to discuss this via WhatsApp or Google meet as I can better explain what I was trying to do and see if what I did makes sense. I would also like your thoughts on whether I should narrow down the LIWC categories to only those shown to be critical for deception detection.
Thanks,
Sujeeta Bhatt
