Description
Experience Level: Expert
I'm searching for a skilled developer to modify open source VPN software to include post-quantum encryption. The VPN will be designed for both desktop and mobile operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android), which can be later used as closed source (license permits that), having the source code obfuscated before release. GUI modifications needed. To be deployable on our own infrastructure. Must have the option to manage the key by the client (custodial VPN).
Key Features:
- The VPN should include a 'Kill Switch' feature to prevent data leaks in case the VPN connection drops.
- It should support 'Split Tunneling' to allow users to route some of their internet traffic through the VPN while other parts access the internet directly.
- The VPN should allow users to select from multiple server locations for optimal performance.
The modified VPN software should be distributed under the MIT or Apache 2.0 license and *not* under the GPL license.
Ideal Freelancer:
- Experienced in network security and encryption.
- Proficient in post-quantum cryptography.
- Familiarity with open-source software modification.
- Prior experience developing VPN software is a big plus.
- Skilled in cross-platform software development.
