I am working on a project for a voluntary organisation that I am the Secretary of, we need coding in Python done for a people counter project. Simple if you know how. The counter is based on a Raspberry Pi connected to a PIR sensor via the GPIO pins, when a person passes the PIR it counts 1 with time and date stamp, when the second person passes it adds another to the file and so on, it must save the csv file on the Raspberry Pi so it can be retrieved by accessing the Raspberry Pi via ssh. This data can then be used to create graphs etc via excel. This project could be expanded in time so that the Raspberry Pi can be connected to the internet and upload the data live to Firebase, and stream it to a website. There is also a possibility that we may want to connect weather stations to some of the Raspberry Pi's. Initially the project is a simple people counter that writes the data to a file onboard the Raspberry PI. See sample code used on a test Arduino.
