Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the website: It is an online platform where people can upload photos for sale - and these will be sold online ( somehow similar to shutter stock but with differentiation)
Description of requirements/features: I have a website that is 95% complete however there are a number of issues which needs to be fixed before launch.
The website is based on php and is hosted on godaddy.
The website is a platform where people (photographers, or amateurs) can post their photos for sale.
and other people visiting the website will be buying the photos online.
I have hired a freelancer who up till now completed the work about 95% overall, however he is struggling in finalising key aspects and making them perfectly.
Design and development is complete - only minor pending issues.
A real expert should be finish the work in one to two days.
Below are the key pending issues:
1 - I want the sellers to be able to upload large photos in jpeg/ jpg format to sell them - after testing it seems in few cases (20% of the cases) the upload is failing, and mainly with large photos (25mb+) - I am expecting photos of up to 100 mb in size, and I want this feature to work 100% as this is at the core of the idea (not sure if the problem is hosting issue or other) - so I want this to be fixed for good ( he tried a lot to fix it and contact go daddy, but no final solution that is working 100% up till now)
2 - I want to show something in the upload page that shows the progress of the upload, so that the uploader knows that their is something happening in the background.
3- user payment in the website:
Current status:
the seller provides a paypal account
when one of his photos is sold, he/she get paid to the paypal account they provided.
the buyer pay using his paypal account
note: when a translation is made, 25% of the payment will go to me (Admin), and 75% goes to the seller.
issue with current status: after the payment is made, the user is directed to a summary page on the website showing the transaction number and how much he/she paid in a very disorganised way, i want to clean this up.
Originally i wanted debit/credit card payment and paypal ( 2 options for the buyer), however the previous freelancer advised that the current available payment gateways do not allow payment split - hence we only sticked to paypal, however if you think it is possible to make payment split from a payment gateway, then I want to incorporate it again.
4 -issue with the check out button (trolley shape)
when I hover the cursor on the checkout button the mouse arrow switches to a hand, however I have to click on the centre of the trolley to initiate the action ( if I click on the periphery, although the cursor changed to a hand, nothing is happening. i want to fix this so that the user can click anywhere on the button and he/she will directed to the checkout page (not just the centre).
5 - issue with the photo location on the map:
we have google maps incorporated so when the seller upload the photo, he/she has to select a location on the map where this photo is taken.
ton the buyer side, they should be able to read the location under the photo, however now it is not showing ( it was working fine, not sure what happened).
6 - the previous freelancer has created a backend for me, however there are things I want to incorporate so i will be able to control everything that is possible. in the backend I, as Administrator need to approve or reject each photo uploaded before publishing it on the website. there is an issue with it, it is not working properly although it is incorporated and was working.
7 - there are a number of drop down lists on the website, but the issue is:
when the user click on the arrow on the right, the name of the filter is showing as one of the options to select - i want to remove that.
also other minor issues related to this point which is hard to explain here.
8 - I want to setup the email to be sent and received by the users when action is taken: ex. when they register, when they upload a photo, when they buy a photo, etc.. ( there are about 8 emails, which I have their script ready, all need is incorporation).
9 - i want to make the website in 2 languages. currently it is in English, i want to add another language (everything will be the same, just displayed in another language) - i have all the script for the other language.
10 - I am sure there are other very minor issues which i need to fix (extremely minor), maybe 3 or 4.
