Develop gift finder using jQuery

I need the functional parts developed for a gift finder where a user selects option 1, 2, 3 & 4 and product results are displayed based on user selection. I am building the HTML and CSS for this so I just need the functional part to bring it together. I am thinking that jQuery is best solution for this but open to suggestions. This is based on a demandware website but we only have access to business manager so we cannot use platform pipelines or ISML configs. we need this developed locally via content asset.
