We are looking for a Software Developer, to help us re-develop a software application that was built a couple of years ago as a prototype.

Staff will have a small desktop application on their computers, which allow them to login to the Electronic In/Out Board. Within this screen, they can change their status via a drop-down list. They can also add a personal message (Similar to MSN Messenger).

Staff are able to update their status via text message, using the Zong API system. They can text “EMB In” and it will automatically update their status. The system knows which staff member it is, as their mobile number is stored in the database.

One important feature that is required, is the Home Visit status. When a member of staff texts “EMB Home Visit Arrived” it will automatically update their status, however if there status does not change, within 3 hours, a message will popup on every staff members computer letting them know, that X Staff member has not left that customers home.

Staff also need the ability to change other staff members statuses within their desktop application. My suggestion, is right-click > edit and a box appears where you can choose their status from the drop-down and add a personal message.

The software application needs to be installed locally on each machine, however the database can be hosted online.

The system must be secure, reliable and be stable with up to 30 staff.
