Experience Level: Intermediate
I have a simple Access database which manages the delegates attending our training courses and some of the services we sell to them. It is based around five tables: Membership, Courses, Delegates, and Venues, plus a repository for documents. As we have continued to use the database, we have uncovered several inconsistencies and improvements we want to include, mostly with the user interface. I need someone who is conversant with Microsoft Access 2016 to help me improve the design of forms and reports, improve usability and help prevent data entry errors.

I need to be able to continue the design of the database after this project is complete, as and when requirements change. So I need to be able to discuss the changes and learn how to do future improvements myself. This means that you will need excellent spoken and written English and you must be easily available on a telephone line (Skype) should we need to arrange calls. It, also, means that the improvements must be easily understood and achieved using the Access tools and package.

As we are only a very small business, cost is critical. I will provide a copy of the database with dummy data and the current system.

    Where abouts are you based. If you want to get the skills to take the on the future work on reports etc., you really need to be in a face to face position with the developer. We would only want to bid on this if you are in a reasonable travelling distance of one of the staff we have who could do this work.

    Thank you for that information. You are a bit too far away from anybody we have to make this viable. From experience we would not want to do this remotely, have tried it a couple of times and it has never worked that well. The best way we have found is to sit down with people and talk them through them making the required changes. Given that we will not be putting in a proposal.
