Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Custom Directory Theme
Description of requirements/features: Looking for an awesome WordPress developer, with great experience working with the Google Maps API :)
The candidate would also need to be UK BASED.
So here's my situation:
I'm currently developing a completely custom WordPress theme that serves as a directory listing site. I have a custom post type, and items are added within this as an address attached via Google Maps.
For every post, I have the Longitude and Latitude stored as separate fields. When viewing these posts, the marker appears on the Google Map perfectly!
I'm looking for some more complex development which is just a little too ambitious for me to do right now.
What I'm looking for is a page template created, that has a map which returns all of the Custom Post Type listings as markers, and allows the user to sort by category (There are four and ideally checkboxes would work perfectly), as well radius.
Default location would be London, and it would begin by showing all of the listings within a 50 miles radius of the default location. As the user enters a new location, the results would update automatically.
It would be ideal to have a feature of being able to click a button, which would return results based on the User's IP location.
Somewhat similar to what is seen here:

Some things to consider:
• Speed is very important, I need this developed in clean code to ensure quick loading time and no strain on the server.
• It needs to be responsive.
• Bug free.
This isn't a simple job of installing a plugin, this is more custom coding. However, I do have some directory themes already purchased which achieve a similar result, which I'd be happy to send for using as inspiration / figuring out how their code works.
If you could start your proposals with "I'm your guy!" to know that you have actually read my brief.
Please get in touch with any questions you may have, and I'll do my best to reply!
- Joe :)
