General information for the website: We are an online marketplace
Description of requirements/features: Looking for a developer with experience setting up Stripe Connect on a Woocommerce website that has a marketplace capability set up using Woothemes' Product Vendors plugin.
We need to be able to do the following when Stripe Connect is set up:
- When customers make payment for an order, and if the order contains more than 1 vendor, customers will be charged multiple charges on their credit cards. The multiple charges would be for the different vendors on the order.
- This will require the creation of standalone accounts for my vendors. We would need to integrate the following: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/standalone-accounts.
- We charge a 12% commission to the vendor for each order. We will need a set up whereby for each customer order/credit card charge, a 12% commission will be deducted and sent to our Stripe Account. The remaining 88% will be sent to the vendor(s).
I.e. Customer orders from 2 vendors.
Cost of Order Vendor A: $100
12% Commision To Us: $100 x 12%=$12
Stripe Transaction Fee: $100 x 3.4% + $0.50= $3.90
Amount Received By Vendor A: $100 - $12 - $3.90= $84.10
Cost of Order Vendor B: $75
12% Commision To Us: $75 x 12%=$9
Stripe Transaction Fee: $75 x 3.4% + $0.50= $3.05
Amount Received By Vendor A: $75 - $9 - $3.05= $62.95
- Each order contains a shipping cost that will be different for different orders. We would need help to set up the shipping cost so that it goes to our shipping partner's Stripe Account. No 12% commission from us is charged to our shipping partner. They will receive the entire shipping cost.
- If the previous point cannot be done, then we would need to do the following. We need a setup that ensures that when our 12% commission is deducted, it is not deducted from the shipping cost as well.
I.e. Customer Order: $100 - Shipping Cost = $3 Actual Cost Of Purchase = $97
Our commission of 12% will only be charged for the Actual Cost Of Purchase: $97 x 12% = $11.64.
