Advanced Customs Fields (ACF) WP plugin help required.
Overview
I am using a pre-built WordPress theme. The site uses WooCommerce and I want to make it easier for my client to add products to the site (they are not technically minded, so the easier the better).
I have added an ACF field group in the WP admin area but will need help working out the best way to do the one for point 1 & 3 on the PDF I have supplied. I really need the assistance with the code side - adding the correct code to the product template php file. I could probably work it out if I spent a bit of time on it, but I am up against it and would rather employ an expert.
I would like this to be completed asap this week if possible. I don’t have a set budget at the moment.
So, if you refer to the PDF, here are the requirements.
1. The price of the product is currently set in the WooCommerce ‘Product Data’ area. My client would like the option to have products shown as SOLD. If it is possible, I would like either:
a) Using a dropdown option for Sold with either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ Choices. This would replace the current price +vat text with the word SOLD.
or, if the above is not possible,
b) add the word SOLD after the price
Would you be able to add a SOLD icon in the main product image area when the ‘Yes’ option is chosen?
2. This descriptive text is currently added in the product short description which I want to use a simple WYSIWYG input box at the top of the page instead. I have created this field already in the ACF settings admin area. Just needs to be linked to the php.
3. My client sells different products, some have dimensions, some don’t, some have part dimensions i.e. WIDTH & HEIGHT only or some may have WIDTH, HEIGHT and DEPTH only but not opening size etc.
I would like to have input fields using ACF,
For dimensions - Width, Height & Depth
For opening - Width, Height
Plus, if no data is added to any of these fields, then that part of the dimensions text would not show on the product page. See page 2 of the PDF for an example of what I mean.
Any other questions please ask.
Thanks, Rick
