Description
Experience Level: Expert
I own a Cisco training website www.howtonetwork.net
I'm looking for a friendly and knowledgeable CCIE to film some lectures explaining all the key concepts for the CCNA exam. Other projects will cover CCNP, CCNA Sec, CCNA Voice, Security+ and so on.
For this project I need videos filmed on a screen capture program such as Camtasia. Each video will be a mix of powerpoint, configurations of live routers and switches and whiteboard lectures (desktop based). They will explain the theory, key learning concepts and then how it is applied to live equipment so you will need to provide a commentary. I would prefer you use a fixed topology as per the one on our live racks racks.howtonetwork.net and also provide the config files as necessary.
I need an expert who speaks clear English and can get concepts across in a way students can understand and grasp. For the CCNA we need:
Ethernet networking concepts
OSI model
Network topologies
IEEE
Network cables and connectors
Router interfaces and how to boot and connect
Basic router configuration
LAN switching
Port security
STP/RSTP
VLANs
Trunking
Troubleshooting switches/VLANs/STP etc.
2950 switches explained
IP addressing
How binary works
Subnetting
VLSM
NAT
Hex
What is routing/how it works
Admin distances
Classful/classless
RIP/v2
EIGRP
OSPF
BGP basics
Troubleshooting above
TCP/IP including FTP,SMTP, UDP, DHCP, DNS etc.
Network security basics including DMZ, VPN
Securing the router/switch / SSH
Access lists / wildcards
Troubleshooting above
WAN basics
Frame relay
PPP / HDLC
Troubleshooting
Network troubleshooting L1-2-3
Wireless networking concepts
Some of the above will be blended lectures such as adding troubleshooting to the end of STP.
Each subject will also need learning notes which the student can print to supplement the lecture. The notes should be thorough enough to cover the topic should the student wish to use these as the primary learning aid. Each subject will also need some test questions using my exam testing software. There will also need to be hands on labs for each topic with step throughs and then some challenge labs with separate solutions.
I have hired many IT professionals so to be clear - I am looking for somebody with a 'can do' attitude who wants to help students and wants to develop a long term relationship and not a money grabbing techie who thinks they are above everyone else because they have passed their CCIE. I don't want to offend but I've worked with too many prima donnas over the years.
This project will develop into a nice extra income for any CCIE who is passionate and enthusiastic about helping others pass their Cisco and networking exam. You need to be English native speaker so USA, UK, Canada etc. No bids from India, Pakistan due to accents I'm afraid.
Here is an example of one video I have done and uploaded:

I don't have the time to keep developing them as I need to work on growing the business in other ways.
Thanks
