Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a software interface for a finger pressure pad mounted on a small instrument box.
I need the digital signal from the pressure pad to be relayed to a computer by a USB connection.
------------------------
It's mainly the software program I need, but if you can provide a working model... that would be preferable. I can provide a sensor.
---------------------
On the screen we need to see a dial, reflecting the pressure on the pad. When you press, the needle goes up. The more the pressure, the higher the indicator.
There must be an audible signal. Something pleasant, not squeaky or irritating, reflecting the pressure.
---------------------------
Say the top of the scale is 10... then at about 8.5 there must be an audible, noticeable BLIP or small GONG sound, indicating that the pressure has brought the meter "over the limit".
So we need to be able to build in a predetermined "limit", which needs to be adjustable on the computer, simply. The default "blip level" should be about 8.5 out of 10. When 10 is the top of the scale.
------------------------------------
The sensitivity of the response must be adjustable, either on the instrument box or on the computer, preferably on the computer.
For example if the sensitivity is set very high, the needle indicator on the dial will shoot up to the top with small pressure. If it's very low, medium pressure will bring it to 6 out of 10.
--------------------------------------
The default situation should be that with an easy pressure on the pad, the indicator will go up to about 7 out of 10.
