Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for someone to develop and test a camera intervelometor, with motor control and additional functions. The basic function of the device is to power a motor to move a set distance along a guided rail. The device will also interface with a DSLR camera, telling the camera when to take photographs along the travel. In addition the device will have a full adjustable user interface, so that it can be used out in the field without need for a laptop or similar.
Deliverables:
A fully working firmware should be developed, including all the required functions. The functions are as follows:
• Timelapse mode - Including options for shoot move shoot and interleaved mode. This will contain sub options such as exposure delay, interval, direction, number of photos, ramp mode, lead in, and exposure time.
• Stop motion mode.
• Manual movement mode. Also includes option to save a position 1 and 2 on the slider, with option to move to either.
• Video mode.
• Settings menu - including features such as focus tap, shutter tap, ramp in/out, lead in/out, delay start, hard rest and calibration.
A fully working circuit will also need to be designed and tested, ready for manufacturing. This will include:
• Complete circuit schematics.
• Gerber files for manufacturing.
• Bill of materials with part numbers.
• Pick and place file for automatic component placement machines.
• 4x20 line LCD display.
• 6 buttons for user input.
In terms of physical hardware, the circuit will be designed as such that it will fit in an existing manufactured housing. The circuit board will also require the following inputs/outputs:
Inputs:
• 12v barrel connector (x1)
• 3/32" port (x1)
Outputs:
• USB (x1)
• DC motors (x2)
• 3/32" camera trigger port (x2) (Need to be shielded, with optocoupler or similar).
A document detailing the precise list of features and menu layout will be provided prior to you accepting the project. Upon accepting the project you agree that you will provide the required functions. Milestones will be set up for payment, with money being transferred at key stages in the project.
You will need proof of previous work, including references.
