Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for someone who can develop a database that will integrate with Microsoft dynamics Point of sale 2009, the database will be used to book in customer repairs on a daily basis, taking some basic details etc, including items left. It will assign job numbers, print out a shop copy receipt for sticking to the customers property and a customer receipt to take away. further into the back end of this database the technician will be able to leave comments on the particular work, state current progress, add part costs & labour, being able to select inventory within the POS database would is essential - which will then minus from available inventory (the point of sale and website will already be integrated to show real time stock information - but thats nothing for you to worry about as it will be the same database) customer notes (which will then be printed onto the receipt), internal notes. Also being able to recall previous jobs. Being able to recall a particular customer if he/she returns rather than having to retake all of the details again would be an advantage. I think the hardest part might be the part when it comes to dispatching the job, as i want it to print out a receipt for the customer with details of the work, but also send the sale to the POS program to process payment wether it be cash or card sale, one last request is some type of manager view where i can see monthly totals, jobs per day completed (ratio's, average per day by technician etc).
As far as i am aware MSPOS uses MS Sql, and server 2008 technology.
Microsoft point of sale is very open to customization. if anyone is interested in this mammoth of a project please submit your with a proposal and a quote. I appreciate you will have some questions, which i will try to answer as best as i can.
As for budget, please bid with a price, as i would like to negotiate a reasonable price for both you and me.
