I am in the process of sourcing a new piece of software for my security keyholding company. At the moment I am using a mixture of excel databases and usb drives and I would like to bring them under one piece of software.
To begin with the software will have multiple users on a small computer network (around 10 users at a time for now) and should have a desktop icon once installed.
The software will act as a central database where it should:
- Keep a record of our current and past clients properties
- Each property should have a unique reference
- Each client should have a unique reference
- Should have two users (admin and user)
- Users can view records on the software (property/client) but they can also add an attendance report to a property which will then be viewable by all users
- Admin should be able to create and update records, should be able to show clients/properties which are no longer covered by my company
- A section on the property page for stored documents (PDF, word etc) which can be viewed
- Password protected (username and password)
- A central record of a users access and a list of the updates/changes/view records for each user
- A searchable database (postcode, telephone, persons name)
I havent shown a price for this work as I want to know a rough guide price before committing further time to the idea. Please be aware that whilst I am looking for a reasonably priced piece of software, I am looking for software that is reliable and easy to use ( requires very little training). Therefore I am willing to pay more for a better piece of software.
The biggest mistake people make is thinking they know it all, so in that spirit, if you have noticed anything which is missing or any other suggestions which you believe will be useful on the software then please send them to me.
