I have a client with his own server based at his office. This is a Linux server running PHP/MySQL software that hasn't as far as I can tell been updated since 2006 when his current web site was installed on it.

It is only possible to access the server using WinSCP or Putty. FTP doesn't work with this.

I have built a new web site in Joomla locally but although it would load onto his server using WinSCP it refused to open. I tried loading joomla from scratch but the package wouldn't open either.

I have now uploaded the site and it is running perfectly on a Linux server hosted by Freeola.

I have suggested the customer leaves it there and uses his web pointing facility but he want's it on his own server. From the info I have gleaned from the forums I looks as though the problem is with his ancient version of PHP/MySQL on his server but I am very concerned about overwriting it because of the risk to the other info he keeps on this server.

So can someone help me, I'm getting out of my depth with this.

Is there anyone out there who can do whatever is required to download the completed site from the Freeola account and upload it again to his own server without risking all the other info that is hosted there.

Best wishes
