Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated Job duration: 1 day or less
The requirement is to import data from an XML file or CSV file into a SQL server. Approximately 450 records and 35 fields. The database already has an import table which once data is inserted runs a trigger and stored procedure to insert data into the database which creates a user record on the system. Typical information i.e names address etc. The data is slightly different so modification the the existing stored procedure will be required.

Knowledge of the application is not require as this is all done at the database level however anyone with experience with Maytas 5 system from Tribal may have an advantage or worked with ILR data, but again this is not required.

You will require good communication skills and have access the the server remotely via GotoMeeting or teamviewer. You will also be required to sign a confidential document and none disclosure document as the data contain personal information i,e names and address information.

I've attached a sample of the Excel file and can also provide the XML file if required

    Hello Lee,
Is this task still actual / active at the moment?
    Thanks.

    Best regards,

Lee i guess store procedure already there, or it also has to be done. Also which database you using (MS Sql, MySql, oracle or anyother)

    Lee W.26 Apr 2018

Stored procedure is already there and there is a trigger set on insert on the import table to run that which should import the data once its been added to the temporary table.

are you looking one time import or you looking a application where you can select the Excel or CSV file and insert data to database.

    Hi Lee,

It will be difficult to estimate fix price, without understanding the changes ( Modification required ) in SQL stored procedures.
Is it possible for you to show us the stored procedure via team viewer ?
I look forward to your reply.

    Regards,
    Dharmesh

the stored procedure is already 95% complete. this is just to add the text into the temp table
