I need a 100% white label/ custom system that allows documents to be stored and organised on a server and allow users to collaborate on the system.
I have at present a temporarily empty server so this program can be developed in the most appropriate language or infrastructure. I prefer to use free server software in order to reduce costs although this isn’t essential.
The system needs to be VERY secure as document which are to be stored will be highly sensitive in nature and will be subject to the Data Protection Act.
Users will be created by an admin and given permissions to view folders (and perhaps only specific subfolders within those folders). The admin can also create a new “project” which will allow several different and unrelated projects with different workgroups and folders to run independently within the system. For example if I was a consultancy with two design and development teams and I were to take of four different project for four different customers each project will have its own ‘document management system’ that runs independently with the admin selecting which of my employees can have access (based on their permissions set by the admin) will have access to which projects and what files within each project.
The system itself must be very easy to use the design must be in the Google analytics style that being very simple modern and sleek with smooth lines. The interface should be very simple and intuitive and should be very similar to a windows explorer box with the hierarchy easily visible and the actual folders and files on the centre of the page the main features will be:
• Ability to create folders and sub folders
• Ability to leave comments for other users
• Ability to have an audit trail to see which users have accessed and downloaded which files both in general and in a particular sub folder
• Ability to drag and drop documents into files and to copy and paste from desktop to the system which will upload automatically onto the system
• Ability for users to ‘tag’ which other files are relevant (for example if a document refers to three other documents a user should be able to tag those three documents to that file so that other users can see and easily link to which other documents are mentioned within the document they are about to read)
• Ability to set certain permissions to users not only to projects folders and sub folders but also whether they can upload leave comments edit etc.
• The solution must be very secure
• The solution must be scaleable and handle a minimum of 500GB of documents
• Document files will mostly be PDF WORD (both .docx and .doc) EXCEL and also OUTLOOK EMAILS

The solution must also come with at least 6 months support in order to debug and assist in setting up and minor amendments which may need to be made
Ideally we would like to have a windows and mac desktop client that will operate much like a drop box folder where users could drag and drop documents to be uploaded but unlike drop box not ALL documents will by synced and downloaded onto the desktop. The possibility of iphone and android app needs to be considered seperalty,.
The solution must be finished in under 4 weeks preferably 2-3weeks.
I will need a programmer who can dedicate most of their attention on this project
The code and design of this project will belong to me at the end and this project may not be named or used in any portfolio or the code be used for other projects and other clients. A legal document will be scanned and sent to you upon being accepted for this project.
