I need a database for a tool/plant hire company. Needs to be able to have user accounts and people accessing at the same time. I need it to be able to invoice every month regardless of whether the items have been booked off hire. Invoice some clients wholly and some clients need to have seperate invoices every month by reference number (eg. send the same client 3 seperate invoices, one for all items booked out on ref number: JobA, one for all items booked out on ref number: JobB etc) Need to be able to manage users, run reports - per client, money owed by client at that time, date hired out, order number, plant number. email invoices. Each hire book out needs to inlcude: Customer Name, Delivery address, contract number, plant number, price of item per week. Clients need to be assigned a discount but there needs to be an override on the discount at the hire book out page.
Need to be able to print/email/ view the following: hire notes, invoices, off hire notes, reports, credits. Database needs to hold client data, item data, price data. Invoice dates work this way: Invoices are done on the last working friday of the month, so a month is the monday after the last working friday - the last working friday of the month.
I have some knowledge of access databases but not enough. Can it be done using VBA and installed as a program? Database will be held on a server. I am open to suggestions of different types of databases.
