Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the business: we provide smart buildings
Database management system (DBMS): Microsoft Access
Description of requirements/functionality: 1. We currently use EXCEL and Word to create estimates and sales offers.
2. For estimating, we have lots of duplication that we currently cut and paste
3. We would like the ability to automate the spreadsheet.
4. A example of its use is. We would like to add a standard item into the cost plan. We have the ability to list a quantity and the software will multiple the elements associated with the item and re-index the name. i.e item is a pump, it has 5 component parts, we want 3 x number adding, so we have pump 1,2, & 3 listed and all its parts into the cost
5. Associated with the costs is a description of how it works, what it includes and data sheets. We would like this adding into a word or Pdf format as a sales offer or specification.
6. We would like the ability to edit the document both for the cost sheet and sales offer
7. We would like to have a Web interface to use the tool (not essential for this phase)
CMS and Admin requirements: We require a separate cost to develop the bid tool specification
Specific technologies required: EXCEL, WORD
Extra notes: The successful development of the sales tool will be evolved to allow other 3rd uses to use the system. This will be provided as a separate cost / phase
Samples of the sheet, sales offer and specification will be provided.
The data will be provided / created in an agreed format
